Caledus, the Aberdeen headquartered well construction technology oil and gas service sector business, announces the appointment of Iain Jennings to the role of Asia Pacific Regional Manager.

Mr Jennings will head up the growth of the Caledus AP region based in Perth, WA, as part of the company’s business expansion and rapid internationalisation strategy. Iain joins Caledus with over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry. His knowledge of the drilling, work over and over all well construction process will be key to promoting the Caledus suite of SlimWELL® technology and TD SOLUTIONS™ tools. His experience with management, operations and sales will assist the Asia region in meeting its planned potential in the future.

Caledus continues to introduce new tools to its TD SOLUTIONS™ portfolio and embarks on the enhanced global commercialisation of SlimWELL®.

SlimWELL® slims down the well profile while maintaining well integrity and intervention ability. It has the potential to reduce well construction costs by up to 50 per cent, enhances safety and reduces environmental impact.

TD SOLUTIONS™ is a range of individual down hole products and services to reduce non productive time (NPT) in well construction and ensure tubulars reach total planned depth. The range is specifically focused on challenging wellbore conditions, high angle, extended reach drilling and horizontal wells where torque and drag, friction and casing wear reduction are key requirements.
